Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-06. This policy covers HomeLine Guard at landlinehiddenfilter.com. We have tried to write it in plain language and to say only what is true. You do not need an account, the site does not set cookies, it uses no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts or fonts, and we do not sell or share your information. The table shows the few places where records do exist.
What we hold, why and for how long
| What | Why | How long | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web server log entries: your IP address, browser user-agent text, the address requested (including any number you typed into the reader) and the time | To keep the site running and to spot abuse | About a week; logs are rotated and entries are deleted after roughly five to seven days | The site operator, on the hosting infrastructure |
| Contact messages: your name, email address, message, the time sent and a hashed form of your IP address | To reply to you; the hash limits repeated submissions | Deleted twelve months after we reply, or sooner if you ask us at [email protected] | The site operator only, in a file that is not public |
| A phone number typed into the number reader | To build the result for your request | Not saved to a database. It can appear in the server log entry described in the first row | Nobody beyond the log access above |
| The contact form's short-lived token | To protect the form against forged submissions | Short-lived; not stored to track you | The site, during the form visit |
| Cookies, analytics, advertising tools, fingerprinting | Not used | Nothing to keep | Not applicable |
The number reader in more detail
When you type a number into the search box, it travels to our server as part of the page address, and the server uses it to build the result. The number is handled during that request and is not written to a database or saved next to your name. The ordinary web server log, however, records the address of the page you asked for, and that address contains the number. That is why the log row appears in the table above, and why the reader is not a place for a number you want to keep completely private.
Who sees your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or other third parties. We may disclose information if the law requires it, for example in answer to a valid legal request. We use ordinary server infrastructure to host the site, and the logs described above are kept there. We do not combine the logs with any other data and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
Your rights, including California
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you can still ask to see, correct or delete anything we hold, such as a contact message. Write to [email protected] and give the date of your message so that we can find it. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the same email address you used before. The disclaimer repeats our Do Not Sell or Share statement.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us a message, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
We keep stored messages in a location that is not public and limit access to the site operator. No method of storing or sending information is perfect, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please do not send sensitive details, such as account numbers, passwords or government ID numbers, through the form.
Links and changes
The guides link to outside sites such as the FTC, the FCC and the Do Not Call Registry. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and once you follow a link they may collect information about you under their own rules. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and say so here when the change is significant. Questions go to [email protected] or through the contact page.
