Everything on HomeLine Guard is general information about home phones and unwanted calls. It is not legal, financial or professional advice. We check each statement against official sources and date every guide, but rules and features change, and a detail that was right on the date of review may be different by the time you read it.
Carrier features vary
Star codes, block lists, spam filters and similar tools differ between phone companies and plans. When we describe a code such as *77 or *60, we describe a common pattern and not a promise that it works on your line. Check with your provider before relying on a feature, and note that some of them cost money.
The number reader
The reader shows facts about an area code: region, main places, time zone and a few warning signs. It does not identify an owner, a carrier or a line type, and it does not know whether a number has been reported by others. A result is not a judgment that a call is safe, so please do not use it to decide that a call is trustworthy.
No affiliation
We are not connected with any phone carrier, handset maker, government agency or people-search company. References to the FTC, the FCC, the Do Not Call Registry and others point to sources. They are not endorsements and not claims of association.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we use no advertising or analytics cookies. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we hold about you, to ask us to delete or correct it and to opt out of any sale or sharing. Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing to opt out of, but you can send a request to [email protected] at any time.
